Hey there, it’s fantastic to meet you! I’m Chris Fry, also known as the Aquarius Traveller and I’m the owner and writer of this Destination and Adventure Travel blog. With over 20 years of travel experience and exploration in 37 countries (including my home Australia), I have gained a deep understanding of diverse destinations and their unique offerings.
My expertise lies in curating unforgettable adventure travel experiences, from hiking through remote mountain ranges to diving in pristine coral reefs. Through my extensive journeys, I have honed my skills in navigating unfamiliar terrains, connecting with local cultures, and finding hidden gems off the beaten path.

As someone who has traveled the world extensively, I have acquired much knowledge and expertise in seeking out all the hidden gems and sharing them with others. In the last few years this has primarily been focused on my home state of Queensland, but still have plenty more around Australia and other countries. I’m all about adventure and exploring new places, and I understand the importance of planning the perfect trip. Through my adventures, I provide valuable information to help you plan your own expeditions and the best ways to soak in every moment of it.

When did I start Travelling?
You might say that travel is my passion, and I’ve been fortunate enough to explore the stunning landscapes of Australia since I was a young child. Born in Western Australia, I’ve been on the move ever since, with family scattered across the southern states. And now currently residing in sunny Queensland, in the capital city of Brisbane. I’ve been to every corner of this beautiful country, and I can’t get enough of it. With my extensive experience, I’m here to share tips and tricks to make your travels as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
It all began for me in 2007 when I got my first passport. I can honestly say this was a life-changer, and I’ve never been the same since! Even though I was still working full time, I managed to travel extensively both around Australia and overseas.
Every holiday I took became an opportunity to discover new and exciting destinations, and I loved immersing myself in different cultures. From trying new foods to experiencing local customs, I was fascinated by everyday life in other countries.
It was this passion that inspired me to create the Brand “Aquarius Traveller” – and this platform where I could share my adventures and inspire others to embrace the joys of travel.
When did I become a Diver?
Have you ever felt like you’re missing out on something greater in life? That’s how I felt until I discovered diving in 2011. It opened up a whole new world for me. And with a series of PADI courses, I eventually earned my Dive Master Certificate.
But my journey didn’t stop there. I found myself drawn to the art of underwater photography. First, it was a way to share my experiences with loved ones, but it eventually turned into a side business with my partner, Matt.
It all began by sharing those beautiful moments captured through our lenses on Facebook and Instagram, and the response was overwhelming! We knew we had something special when people started asking for digital copies and calendars.
It’s incredible how one small decision can lead to so many new opportunities in life. The best part? We got to share the beauty of our world while doing what we love, and eventually, it led me here to my very own website.
What is Aquarius Traveller doing now?
I’ve visited 37 countries, each unique in its culture, landscape, and people. My journeys have shown me just how diverse our planet truly is, and every moment of my travels has been a chance to learn, connect, and experience something new.
As someone who initially started traveling to experience the beauty of the world, I never knew that it would end up leading me to my true passion – creating content and sharing stories through my Blog and YouTube account.
With each new country and culture that I explore, my knowledge and love for this world increases. That’s why, around 2018, I decided to take a leap of faith and quit my full-time job to pursue this dream. It was a tough decision, but I knew that it was the right one. And now, seeing my success and the community that I’ve built, I am grateful for every step that led me here.

Whether it’s spending time with family and friends, pursuing a fulfilling career, or indulging in a favorite hobby, we owe it to ourselves to prioritize our happiness and find ways to make our dreams come to life.
