Surprisingly, I was born in a small country town in the northern area of Western Australia. While my knowledge may not be as extensive as my home state of Queensland, I have visited Western Australia several times over the years, allowing me to gain valuable insights and experiences.

About Western Australia
Western Australia is the largest state of Australia, covering 2.6 million square kilometres, as well as a population of over 2.5 million people. Consequently, there is a lot of space, uncharted territory, and sometimes complicated to get to. Therefore, this makes exploring Western Australia so unique and one of the best states to visit.
Perth is the capital city, located in the southern part, with almost 2 million people living there. Thus, It’s a great base to start exploring all through the Margaret River wineries, forests, or Cave systems. Not only that, but it has some of the most beautiful, untouched beaches along the southern coast.
Things to do
Furthermore, some unique rock formations like Wave rock can be seen when travelling inland. Otherwise, a ferry across the water to Rottnest Island will have you taking a selfie with the loveable Quokka.

The rest of Western Australia has so many different attractions, although the Bungle Bungles and the rest of the Kimberley region shouldn’t be missed. Surprisingly, the Bungle Bungles are millions of years old but only discovered in the 1980s, and the beehive-looking domes are a site to see. Alternatively, Mitchell Falls would have to be one of my favourite Australian Waterfalls.
Climate
This massive state covers a whole range of climates depending on location or season. Most important, remembering that the Summer Season is December-February, and the Winter season is June-August. Temperatures range from 1 degree Celsius to 50 degrees. Therefore, better to isolate a location first before looking at the weather and rainfall.
