“Bula” and Welcome to Fiji.

Fiji is located in the South Pacific Ocean and 3.5 thousand kilometres off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It consists of over 300 islands scattered over 1 million square kilometres, and fascinating that over 100 of these islands are inhabited. Most of the area remains a forest with coconut palms, commonly positioned around the coast. The currency is the Fijian Dollar, and most hotels and tours will accept any major Credit cards

The population is over 900 thousand people, with 77 thousand living in the capital city of Suva. Nadi is located on the west side of the mainland and is the primary international gateway city with a population of over 40 thousand. The market economy is based on tourism and a small amount of agriculture. In particular, this includes cocoa, kava, sugar, pineapples, or Bananas.

The Average temperatures range from 29 degrees Celsius (84F) in the summer to a low of 20 degrees Celsius (68F) in the winter. The highest rainfall will occur in the summer, from November to March. Unfortunately, this is also when you see more monsoonal weather and tropical cyclones.

The three languages widely spoken are Fijian, Fijian Hindi, and English. Most people will speak at least two languages: English and their native tongue.

Above all, the Fijian Islands are well known for their underwater life, soft corals, and diving locations. In fact, it’s home to one of the best shark diving locations in the world. You can discover hundreds of dive sites, from the mainland to each island’s house reef.
