Transport options from the airport?
Due to the short distance (less than 10 km), I find the best way to get to these hotels and motels from the airport is by catching a taxi or using Uber services. These will cost anything from $15AUD to $30AUD depending on service and Time of day.
Alternatively, you can also check with your hotel or motel if they offer airport shuttle services – Unless they are close enough to walk!
This can save on costs, but you might have to wait around for other passengers.
If you’re planning on staying in Brisbane for a few days or maybe venturing outside the city limits for hiking trails and swimming holes. Then hiring a car from the Airport might be a good option – that’s if you like exploring cities with a flexible time schedule or have a large group.
➡Find your favourite brand & compare prices for your Rental Car HERE
Apart from that, the Public Transport System is excellent for getting in and around the City areas and seeing the attractions in the South Bank precinct.
Ultimately, this is where I would send anyone looking to check out Brisbane for the first time, especially if you’re looking for attractions in the evening! All these services include trains, public buses, ferry boats, and the free city Hopper ferries and city Bus Loop!

How Far is the city from Brisbane Airport?
Brisbane is about 19 kilometres away from the Brisbane Airport, which is about a 20-minute drive southwest of the airport precinct. However, if you’re staying for longer than a day, then lining up accommodation in the inner suburbs might be better. This is so you can have easy access to some of the popular tourist destinations and attractions.
