The challenge for travellers is that caravan parks here vary a lot. Some are right on the beach, while others are budget-friendly and closer to town. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed trying to balance location, price, and facilities.

If you’re planning a stay in Bundaberg, you’ll find a great selection of caravan parks catering to every type of traveller, whether you’re after a beachfront site, family-friendly facilities, or a quiet base close to town.

1. Woodgate Beach Holiday Park

Woodgate beach would have to be one of my favourite beaches in Bundaberg. It’s only a small locality near Bundaberg with just over 1000 people. The Caravan Park is on the Woodgate Esplanade and straight across the road from the beach.

Bundaberg city is only a 40 min drive away, although basic supplies, fuel, and grocery items are available in Woodgate.

2. Elliott Heads Holiday Park

Located about 20 minutes from the city of Bundaberg and right on the mouth of the Elliott River. This means you have the convenience of sandbars and low-key channels for swimming, as well as the beautiful white sandy beach.

3. BIG4 Breeze Holiday Parks, Bargara

The beautiful Neilson Beach is about 20 minutes from Bundaberg city and on the north side of Bargara.

The Breeze Neilson Beach Holiday Park is located on Fred Courtice Ave, about 200 metres walk from Neilson Beach, with a large park and Surf Club in between.

4. Turtle Sands Camping and Holiday Park

The Mon Repos area is less crowded during the day, but it’s the place to stay if you want to see the Turtles laying or hatching on the beach.

From November to March each year, the Mon Repos Beach is closed to the general public. This allows the rangers to run nightly tours to see Loggerheads Turtles.

The Turtle Sands Caravan Park is located next to the Turtle centre and very convenient to walk back and forth from. However, please note during the Turtle season, the Caravan Park will book out quickly.

5. Glenlodge Caravan Village

The Glenlodge Caravan Park is a convenient option for the southern side of Bundaberg and before you get into the main centre of town.

It’s on Goodwood Road and will lead you to Woodgate for a day trip, or an alternative way back to Childers.

In Addition, the roads are wide to get in and out of the park, making it easy for larger vehicles or looking for a quick stopover.

6. Splitters Farm Camping & Accommodation

When was the last time you stayed at a Caravan Park complete with rescue farm animals? Splitters Farm is a great addition to my Parks guide and perfect for the family and kids.

Watch out for Geese, Horses, Goats, Guinea Pigs, Chickens, Ducks, and even Llamas. Additionally, the sites are roomy and there is a creek for any non-motorised activities.

7. BIG4 Cane Village Holiday Park

When deciding on my list of Caravan Parks today, I wanted to include all sides of town.

The BIG4 Cane Village Holiday Park is located on the west side of town, near the airport. Additionally, it’s a convenient one to drive to as you’re coming into town and saves you driving through the main areas with a Caravan.

8. Hinkler Lions Park – FREE Camping

The Hinkler Lions park is located across the road from the airport and included in this list today for being your FREE public camping option. With that said, I do see it full ALOT and if you’re going to try and stay there, please have a backup in mind.

This is a small grassed park area with some toilets, with parking around the outside for cars, campers, and longer vehicles. Just remember, there is a 24 hour limit on your visit.
